The Branding Iron – Effective Brand Recognition

Weilding The Branding Iron and stamping your business successful is an important part of planning and putting your business in motion. Without an effective Brand, recognition of your business may simply NOT happen. Can you afford not to be recognized in a world of jumbled products, services, and um… clutter?

Recently, I’ve spent some time packing and moving. It all started out as kind of a controlled performance that would last a few months, then we’d be parked once again in a location where we could unpack EVERYTHING and just live better. Something happened in the process and the plan is taking a bit longer to materialize. But a few things I did in the beginning have helped us to remain somewhat organized – AHEM – through the mess.

Labeling Boxes -

Of course, the labeling process is helpful. Those boxes with important contents are more accurately labeled and with a RED pen. No matter what we’re looking for, if it’s important, we know to start out by looking for the RED label boxes. The contents are listed and the BIG label is RED.

Brand recognition means recognizable and useful labeling practices.

Container Appropriate -

Of course, there’s that other simple to do suggestion that says, put the product in an appropriate container. If it’s really necessary to protect an item, you’ll find the item in weather proof rubbermaid(tm) container, or other likely protection providing packaging. You’re really NOT going to find my important documents in a cardboard box. Nope – not happening!

Brand recognition means product and service appropriate packaging.

Predictably Identifiable -

This one caught my attention right off. My son packed refrigerated items in a RED COLEMAN COOLER. Hummm, that’s predictable. It’s easy to remember, and nobody has to ask. They simply look for the Coleman to find FOOD. Clothes go in luggage where possible, particularly for those items you need to FIND.

Brand recognition means predictably identifiable.

These same details apply to your business products and services. Be somewhat predictable, be appropriate and label items well to develop the most effective Brand.

So, now you know… When I walk into my livingroom, stacked high with boxes, looking for a bottle of Coca Cola, you can bet your bottom dollar, I’ll be looking for the abstract white wave on a red background. Sometimes the logo should simply stand alone!

Branding Social Networks – Cyber Clutter

Posted by admin | Brand Recognition, Social Networks, Twitter | Thursday 18 December 2008 2:35 pm

Are  you willing to clutter up the Internet with social network branding? Get a grip. Your personal brand on the social networks should be more than plenty. Why taint a good thing with clutter that simply musses up the Information Highway?

Recognized as somewhat of a Marketing Ditz on Twitter, adding a business BRAND to the mix would confuse my readers. If I simply play my networking game, invite Tweeters to visit my blog and participate randomly in the Twitter process, people will follow me – not just on Twitter, but back to my blog too. In fact, they’ll probably be pleasantly surprised that the information on my blog is helpful, interesting, and directly related to the needs of my readers.

Do I need to BRAND Twitter? Heck no. I can play on twitter, make friends, communicate with business associates on a different level and still compile a high value list of networking associates who follow my blogs. That’s the fun of Tweeting my daily activities. Everyone knows I’m busy, but with twitter, they know what I’m BUSY doing.

Cut the Cyber-Clutter and TWEET some fun reasons for people to follow you back to your blog for VALUABLE Content and Information.

Branding Yap – Are You Tired of the Hype?

A new logo doesn’t cut the mustard when you’re talking about Brand effective recognition. The objective of operating your business with BRAND recognition is bringing people back time and time again for YOUR product. It doesn’t matter if they recognize your brand if they don’t buy your brand.

People are smart.

They understand that the logo is simply a means of identifying your product. What counts is the quality behind the logo. If your product can be identified without the high dollar logo, don’t push the rope, go for quality product and BRAND your business SUCCESSFUL with QUALITY that your buyers will come back again and again to experience.
